Deanna enjoys helping people and is not afraid of new beginnings. She is a local girl, born and raised in the Central School district of Iredell County. After high school, she married her childhood sweetheart, Terry. The new family grew through the years with the addition of two sons. Today, Doug & Grant are married and have children of their own. Deanna loves being grandmother to Evie and Cy.
Deanna has always been a person with an abundance of energy and thrives on a busy schedule. In 1993, the family launched a home business as contract breeders for Perdue Farms. The business still feeds and nurtures 64,000 newborn chicks into mature laying hens every year.
In 2006, Deanna formed a second family business with her two sisters and purchased the Korner Kitchen Restaurant in Union Grove. The business later expanded to include the Korner Deli in Harmony. For eleven years, she and her full staff served a wide selection of popular home-cooked meals, complete with fresh, locally-baked desserts. Being in charge meant sometimes working seven days a week, but Deanna enjoyed the friendly interaction with her many customers.
When her family decided to move from the restaurant business, Deanna was not yet ready to stop interacting with the public. She wanted to stay engaged with her community, but needed a new avenue to maintain that interaction. One often-repeated comment from her customers and peers caused Deanne to begin to open her mind to broader possibilities. She remembered the many times she had been told, “You could sell dirt in the desert” This validation made the idea of moving into real estate a practical next step for her, and not a quantum leap! With a history of successful businesses in tow, this seasoned entrepreneur stepped out to learn a new way of meeting people’s needs. Earlier this year, Deanna earned her real estate brokers license and now counts herself as part of the Doug Madison Realty Team.
Deanna Gaither knows the challenges and fears of starting over. So, she has chosen to focus her efforts toward helping the first-time home buyer, retiree, single parent, new resident, and others standing in the doorway of a new beginning but needing help to cross the threshold. We invite you to call Deanna today at (704) 450-3424. It is her goal to help make YOUR new beginning a smooth transition!
